Chelsea's bid for Simon Kjaer

According to reports, Fenerbahce have slapped Chelsea transfer target Simon Kjaer with a £15.4million price-tag.

The Danish defender has been in fine form since signing for the Turkish giants from Lille last summer, scoring twice in 28 Super League appearances whilst averaging 1.8 tackles, 2.5 interceptions and 3.9 clearances per match.
The 27-year-old is one of Chelsea’s long-term transfer targets and finds himself on their radar once again ahead of the summer transfer window.
Although the Blues have agreed a one-year contract extension with captain John Terry, they’re still expected to acquire another center-back option during the off-season and the 55-cap international seemingly fits the bill.
Financial Fair Play problems could force Fenerbahce to sell this summer, but they’re only willing to do so at the right price. According to the Turkish news outlet, that price is £15.4million – the valuation they’ve placed on Kjaer’s head.
FFP issues could also force Fenerbahce to sell former Manchester United star Nani.
